THE TIPPING POINT

Politics Blog Top Sites

Just the way Nature is said to have a tipping point, I believe politics in America has a tipping point, too, and I have a gut feeling that we have pushed beyond that tipping point.

Nobody talks about anything else these days.

The president is recognized as the worst in history.

People are starting to look at his violations of the law and are taking umbrage.

Ambassador Wilson call this the most corrupt office in history.

Dennis Kucinich is gathering names for his Impeachment petition.

People are ticked off by Valerie Plame; they are ticked off at the way Justice is being handled as if it were a mockery; they see Gonzalez as a lackey; they hate the idea of being snooped on....

They are ticked off by a failed Immigration policy.

They are ticked off by energy policies decided behind closed doors.

They are ticked off by a vice president who thinks he's above the law...

And an executive that refuses every request from Congress...

And most of all, they hate a war that wasn't necessary and has cost us deeply in the loss of our young people.

These things will not go away.

And we are beginning to see a clash between Bush's intractability and arrogance and the amount we can continue to accept in terms of his laws, his support of the right wing, his wilingness to bankrupt the government.

This anger is coming from both sides....the left and the right.

The Yankees hit this man who is trying to bankrupt this country.

The left hate him for the way he has wrecked our government and our courts...

They see him as trying to demean good science, destroy the relationship of women with their bodies and interfere with stem cell research.

And the anger for change is building.

Guaranteed that there will be people on the streets demanding the resignation of the president and the vice president.

It is going to begin this week.

And the pressure is building.

Do they think they can trample on our democratic values without tipping the balance against their interests and their aggressive tactics?

The end is coming and faster than any one suspects.

And that is good for us!

Guaranteed.
