Please ignore the man behind the curtain...

What's worse than giants carrying dialysis machines?

Those who tell us to ignore them...

For years and years, we’ve been told by the Washington Publicity mills that we can’t seem to zone in on bin Laden because he has escaped into the mountainous region aroud Tora Bora.

At times, we have even had him our sights and nothing happened?

How could this be that the most advanced technology nation in the world cannot find a giant among pygmies, a six foot four inch giant of a man schlepping a dialysis machine is almost beyond comprehension.

Even the Special Ops guys who came in first to Afghanistan have pondered the same question right up ‘til the time they subcontracted the job to locals to do the job.

Somewhat akin to turning over chicken security to the head fox...

Guess what? They failed.

Bush tried to minimize the fact that we couldn’t do what we set out to do by negating its importance in the grand of schemes and distracted us by, instead, calling for the downfall of Iraq, a country that wasn’t even close to having anything to do with religion or its teachings...

In fact, you'd have to work pretty hard to find a connection there, but we did. We called it WMD....

And when WMD failed, they called it something else.

What do you know?

These bait and switch measures have left us dangling and more insecure than ever.

One thing is however true, we have not heard the last of the Afghanistan based Al Qaeda; nor is it unlikely that they are not planning the next move on our shores—whether or not we stay in Iraq.

The failed logic of the Bush administration cannot be denied as they continue to move the goalposts in a failed attempt to make it seem as if the World according to Alice is the real world.

And telling us we are "nuts!".

The fact is that we are going nowhere fast while Al Qaeda basks in the relative calm provided by our ‘friend’ and ally, General Musharref….

In the light of all this stupidity, it prevails upon those of us with a modicum of common sense to lift a cudgel to our representatives and demand that they start paying attention

to the building pressure for Impeachment.

While we are told that this will take too long and distract us from other national issues, the fact remains if we don’t act now to restore the law, we are implicitly suggesting that such outlandish behavior is tolerable in our democracy—a signal that is in opposition to the feelings of most of us who really care what happens to America.

Although the window is closing, we must not be afraid to do the right thing.

And ACT WHEN WE MUST...
