Taxpayers paying for Mercenaries?

Who's paying for the "other" Army...

An army of mercenaries....

What we've recently discovered is that the numbers we've been given for security and protection personnel in the Iraq area is widely underestimated.

Recently, there was talk that there might be as many as 120, 000 men and women who are employed by the subcontractors to provide protection for civilians in Iraq.

All of these subcontractors have been selected behind closed doors by this government.

That means that budgets have been agreed to without oversight or public scrutiny....

We also know that he "mercenaries" who provide support services to these subcontractors average between 150-200,000 annually plus other benefits including meals and the equivalent of four star hotel accommodations in the Green Zone...

One only has to do the math to question who is ultimately paying for this high level of protection.....

We estimate the cost at more than 31 billion dollars annually to support this effort... In five years, more than 150 billion dollars....

Congressman and women are calling for congressional investigations to ferret out why one of the principal contractors lost 9 billion dollars in aid money; now, sooner or later, democrats will need to know if the cost ofprotection for civilian subcontractors are being paid indirectly by taxpayer dollars....
