The Border: Government's Cure For National Guard
Guard Broke, No Fix In Sight
Well, according to a number of sources, National Guard troops are coming home harboring all kinds of pyschological problems that are haunting them and making their return to civilian life difficult and at best. To add insult to injury, The Guard has had to endure long tours, cuts in benefits and programs, and insufficient protection in terms of manpower and armaments. They are overstretched and under-appreciated according to most reliable sources. Is it any wonder that Guardsmen and women are dropping out in record numbers....
So, in consideration of the work that must be done to bring our boys and girls back to pre-Iraq conditions, our brain-dead government has found the appropriate solution. We are going to send the National Guard down to protect our borders. We are going to send down a Guard that is having mental problems and problems just keeping their households together, a Guard that is having trouble suriviving and we're going to ask them to protect our borders.
No problems there, once you assume another war with Mexico is a given.
Good job, Brownie!
