The NIE Burns the Bush!


Vindicated after only eight years….

Wow! I can’t tell you how good I feel that Bush is finally going to get his comeuppance. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this self serving charlatan empty suit is finally going to get what he deserves. You can bank on it.
And I will love every minute of it.
The American people are tired of being made fools by their so=called government—a government that never cared on whit for what happened to the Middle Class or the poor.

Oh, they could be so transparent about their disdain for we poor souls.

Yet, they never budged an inch, never showed one iota of compassion for all the deserving. Now, they are rushing around trying to rewrite history to make it look as if they were working hard for international peace.

Bull!

Let’s face it. It was all about them. Their agenda. Their oil. Their control.

They may wear three button suits and talk the talk but they are nothing but Empire builders who don’t care about the American or anything else but themselves.

And yesterday, Bush’s protections ran out.

The people caught up to him.

At first, I thought they would dodge the bullet on this one, too.

But no one was going to let him get away with his lies that almost propelled us into WWIII.

Yes, we heard it all before.

Ahmadinejad was the viscious Satan….

Iran was going to use missiles against us.

It could happen any day now.

The carrier groups shuttled off to take up stations outside of the Gulf….

And it was only a matter of time before the fighters were launched to take out the missile site.

Imagine then what a surprise it was for me and you to learn that NIE was out there since August.

And that nobody was buying Bush’s comments that he was only briefed last week about the status of the missile program.

Even the conservative commentators blanched when he was asked would this make any difference and he said, “no.”

You got to give him credit for a hard head but that’s about all.

Nobody is buying into the story or the excuses.

They know that although Bush doesn’t get into details, they know that he would be interested in learning the truth about what was happening to the missile program and how it affected our own defensive posture.

So, in fact, even the conservative commentators accept the fact that he lied.

He lied, ladies and gentlemen.

And now we know he lied about Iraq, too, although he and his Vice President would have loved to lay it at the doorsteps of the generals.

But it was not the generals; it was Bush and Company that rewrote the evidence and pushed along towards an unnecessary war.

That alone is basis for Impeachment; now factor in all the rest: torture, elimination of habeas corpus, violation of posse comitatus, eavesdropping without court orders, elimination of the Constitution, secret energy agreements, and on and on…

It is time to lay out our case and go forward.

But we have just passed the proverbial turning point….

And we are beginning to see that after seven years, America still works!
