Leave No Stone Unturned: An Excerpt

Introduction:


Predicting the future and possible outcomes is always chancy.

But as we see it, these are the limited options that we face.

Either we shall see the Republicans scattering in all directions as the number of investigations, indictments and proof of wrong doing accelerate….If that scenario plays out, it is likely that the Democrats will pick up important new strength in the mid-terms—perhaps enough to change the status quo…

Or that the Republican die-hards will use their “terrorism” card to declare a new war against the phantom enemies of our way of life while continuing to erode the freedoms and liberties guaranteed by our fundamental documents which have been kept conveniently out of sight.
If the former happens, we may see a Grand Jury empowered to get to the bottom of what has happened over the last two terms of government with the possibility of either Censure or Impeachment..

If the Republicans, mindful of their need to hold onto power, attack Iran, fear may be used in much the same way it was employed in the burning of the Reichstag to reinforce the power and control of the government in place.

Considering such prospects along with the myriad other challenges we face there is no other option than to be informed and to act in the better interests of our country. . If our disinterest and our disconnect was the problem, then it is we who must become the solution.
