Iran for the Soul
The Road to Entropy...
Is part of the plan
To invade Iran
Under the lingering threat
Of the diminished man
Whose slide in the polls
Has fixed his goals
Of bringing chaos
And contention,
And American intervention,
To augment dissension
Is that his intention?
For what derelict purpose
Does he us so embroil
To accomplish what?
To grasp another cup
Of tainted oil?
Would his materialistic
Fetish cease
If the Devil were to release
Him from his Faustian deal
Or is that simply too unreal?
Were it so that
There was no need
Would we witness
Such a mindless greed….
Our questions profound
They do abound
But guaranteed
No honest answers
Will be found…
Is it not bad enough
That we ravaged this land
Put together of oil and sand
Called Iraq…
That we did attack
For ostensible noble purpose
But as we were to learn
There were truer motives
beneath the surface
Nor did it seem our intention
To take out bin Laden
The terrorist invention
Lest we diminish the threat
Of the government’s intervention
Or its power to protect
While enhancing its goal
Of maximizing power and control
No, Saddam was both reason and excuse
To obfuscate the truth
Which was penetration
of foreign soil
For what purpose?
To liberate its oil…?
What does such
Malevolent deeds connote?
A larger share of the
Public’s vote…
Will this duplicity be
Repeated
Even though the terrorist
Stand undefeated?
America inundated with
Blood and gore
Seems still willing to immerse
Itself in words of War
From the mental pygmies they pour
In lugubrious tomes
These self-aggrandizing gnomes
Whose grip on power
Seems to solidify
As more and more die
In pyres stacked large
Ferried on the Hades barge,
Kept busy, these days,
In lugubrious ways;
These gnomes insult our intelligence
With a vengeance
When they claim
Honest debate…
Will decide the Iran’s fate,
While new new plans are being laid
And more powerful bombs are being made
For the future fusillade
One might posit
How many more lives must we invest
To extract Iran’s high test?”
Or is simply a precursor of some future Hell?
Unfortunately, only time and poll
Results may tell!
In the meantime,
The lies tend to have dominion
Over must of our opinion
Forsaking objectivity
Becomes a path to obloquy
We fear most
What we understand not
And those who would use that truth
Is what our vote begot!...
