Living Inside the Matrix

Confessions of a computer scientist…

There is a monster out there. If we’re not careful, it will
destroy what we know as the Western World.

Right now, it is limited to America. It has already shown its
great power. But it operates in a subluminal way so that most
of us tend to ignore it.

But those who know would warn us against taking it for granted
even though its power has become ubiquitous in recent years.
Rather bland and unprepossessing looking, it is easy to dismiss
as virtually nothing—at least nothing to even notice or get worked up
about. That is implicit in its great power: It’s ordinariness….

In America, it has been responsible for change; change that few will
admit to. And we are only at the beginning. Those who exercise
great power understand that this is a weapon that must be used with
great caution and with little fanfare if it is to be effective.

However, we have made a breakthrough, people who have worked on this
ordinary weapon have come forward and divulged the secrets of its power.
Yet, only a handful have listened. And barely a handful have hoped to do
anything about it; unfortunately, that handful does not include the rich or
powerful. They simply don’t care. If nobody does anything about it, they will
be happy. “Why rock the boat?” yet, the people who make this inane kind of
remark are the same kind of people who want us to vote for them.
They are the Democratic standard bearers—the Kerry’s, the Clinton’s, even Dean
and his cadres. They number among them Edwards, Kennedy, Boxer and Pelosi.
How do they signal their intentions on this matter? They ignore it.

What am I talking about?

As you might have guessed by now, the Voting Machines that total up 85 % of the vote.
Those who know, inform us that there are at least three times that each machine can have
the votes it compiled tampered with. There are no controls to prevent it and the vast majority of these machines do not have a paper trail. What’s worst of all? Both of the leading machines are produced by brothers who are sworn to a Republican victory.

What more do we need?

If the aforementioned is so, which I am assured it is, than why bother putting up a candidate, why bother discussing issues, why bother getting involved, why bother to vote since it is all pre-ordained.

If even our own candidates will not speak out about it, we are all doomed as a Democratic society. And we might as well pack our bags and move!

If you feel differently, if you feel soiled and tainted by this development, you have a choice;
You can badger the Hell out of your representatives until they show some signs of life!

That is our option and if we don’t take it, we have to be satisfied with what we get.

End of story!
