Headstone: Who knew? it was the flu

Flu? You too?

Has the flu
something to do with
me or you?

Do they contrive
to threaten our lives
By blaming the chickens
For plots that thicken

Are we just taken for being naive
With a minds as porous as a sieve
Can't we think obliquely
About plots uniquely
Aimed to do us in
For skin that is too thin?

Or do we vex
for being too complex?
Are the blues
just bad news
Or just a new
kind of hex?

Dare we consider our doubts
And the prerogative of louts
Our own preservation
Without reservation
Leaves them cold and detached
from the vaccine or a patch

They are extra baggage it seems
For a government made mean
For supplies of vaccine
That are exceedingly lean

the lack of a cure
Is hardly demure
It limits detection
To those needy protection
And for the rest?
Well, there's always
defection...

The democrats among us
Are less deserving
than fungus!
Why should we concentrate
our dwindling reserve
On those who don't even deserve

Instead, we should preserve
The loyal and the true
Republican red, white and blue
In contrast to those
Who readily oppose
Our extremist point of view...

So get with it, bro
Stay in the know
The cure is for the red
Who make their own bed
And our little macabre plot
is to give the ineffectual shot
to those anti-war types
With their perpetual gripes

when they fall over sick
We bury them quick
And get on with our mission
Of building division
While blaming them
all along
for everything's
That's gone wrong...Politics Blog Top Sites
