"Happy New Year!"

Everybody's writing something about the New Year...
Although I feel lucky to be alive considering what this year was like,
I am at odds with the idea of writing something inspirational although
I would like to feel that way.
The reason is that while we would like to focus on all of the indictments,
the investigations, the accusations being launched against these mothers of
all mothers...I am not convinced at this point that justice will play out.

After all, look at how we were taken advantage of this year in every way you can
imagine. How many stood up and said this is bloody wrong.
You could have filled space with the vacuum.
Where are those wonderful orators who could eloquently address
the problems. Where are all those who wanted to be president last election...where are they now? Where are even the fair-minded Republicans?

I feel soiled to know that the NYTimes sat on the story of snooping on American citizens for
an entire year--they sat on it through the election.
Where are the Federal prosecutors who want to see justice done...
Where is our Supreme Court when push comes to shove...
We all know the answer to that.
Where are the people who want to get rid of the phony voting machines
that can give you any result you want. Where are they?
Why isn't the media all worked up about what's wrong in this country?
Why aren't those who can do something about it up in arms about all
the jobs going to these flea bitten countries? Why aren't we up in arms
about the Fast Track powers we've given to this imposter who has no
loyalty to this country? Where are those who can punish this cabal
who wants to impose coal poisoning once again upon us?
Where are those who from the pharmaceutical companies or the FDA who
will tell the truth about what drugs really cost? There must be at least one honest
drug official? Why isn't he blowing the whistle? Why is our government persisting
in its failed attack on a nation that posed no threat to us and ignored the people
who want to see us dead? Why do we want to destroy the environment for less than
a year's worth of oil when we would do better to get the automobile companies
to develop better engines and more efficiency in their automobiles?
Where are the big wind farms and tide machines that can make us more power efficient?
Where are the recyclable products that eliminate toxins and where is the enforcement of
current OSHA programs? I am only getting started but this New Years, these are the things I will be thinking about as I blitz myself into next year...
To you, you are the reason I bother; I want to see all my brothers and sisters well and healthy and happy as we steer this overwraught, tired monarchy back to a democracy
where we as individuals count as more than cannon fodder.
To that, let us toast!...And let's look forward to hope and brotherly love and kindness
once more in our lives...
